Plastic surgery procedures, it is not all about the looks
Plastic surgeries procedures have become very popular in the last decades. However, the decision to undergo such a procedure has to be carefully considered. To the economic reasons, very powerful by themselves, the situation of health risks also carry significant weight.
As for the money, not only does the patient have to pay for the Plastic surgery procedure, but also, it would be convenient if she saves some money to pay medical bills emanated of side effects. It has been established that one out of three women who have undergone a breast surgery operation has to be operated again in the following ten years. If you think that health insurance will pay for these additional bills, you better think again. Also, in the best case scenario, implants have to be changed every fifteen years, on a regular basis.
Apart from the most common side effects such as leakage, capsular contraction or infection, other more serious side effects can be pointed out, as if the above mentioned were not enough. It has been pointed out a strong connection between silicon implants and autoimmune diseases, such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, lung fibrosis and brain cancer. Research on these has not been sufficient so far, and somehow the cosmetic industry is reluctant to pursue further studies.
Saline implants are no better. The FDA has pointed out that one out of ten percent of saline implants will deflate in less than five years. This is not so innocuous as you might think. There have been cases of severe fungus infections originated in the saline implants inserted by the Plastic surgery procedure.
